Odessa College Foundation is proud to offer a variety of scholarships to help students achieve their educational goals. Thanks to the generosity of our donors and the steadfast support from our community, local businesses, and alumni, we are able to provide meaningful financial assistance to deserving students. Below, you will find a list of both endowed and non-endowed scholarships available to eligible students.
General Scholarship Application
Fall & Spring Scholarships:
All students are invited to submit a General Scholarship Application for Fall and Spring each academic year. Scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis and depend on the availability of funds. Only completed and submitted applications will be considered.
Summer Scholarships:
Foundation Scholarships are not offered during the summer semesters. However, students may request to be placed on a waiting list after summer registration, and scholarships will be granted only if funds become available. To join the waiting list, an email must be sent to financialaid@lakeviewbungalow.com regarding summer scholarships. (An AwardSpring General Scholarship Application is not required for summer scholarships).
To make the application process easier, Odessa College uses the AwardSpring platform to match students with scholarships that best fit their qualifications, restrictions, and unique demographics. By creating an AwardSpring account and completing the application, students can discover and apply for scholarships that align with their educational and personal experiences. Create your AwardSpring account and complete your application today!
Click HERE to submit an AwardSpring General Scholarship Application.
Opening application dates and deadlines will be provided on the AwardSpring website.
An AwardSpring account will only be generated only if the student has already enrolled in classes.
Please use the primary email address associated with your OC student account. If this is your first time applying, click "Set My Password" under "First Time Here." If you continue to experience issues, contact the financial aid department immediately for further assistance.
All applicants will be evaluated based on criteria set by donors, which must be upheld to retain the award. Scholarship eligibility depends on GPA, enrollment hours, major, and financial aid awarded (receiving other financial aid may render you ineligible for foundation scholarships). Visiting and dual credit students are not eligible for foundation scholarships.
Scholarships will be awarded from June through August for students who apply before the deadlines. Applications submitted after the deadlines will be reviewed only if funding is still available.
Students will receive their scholarship award letter through their AwardSpring email account. They must follow the instructions provided to complete the acceptance of their award.
F-1 Visa Students:
Students with an F-1 visa must follow the same process outlined above to apply for foundation scholarships.
F-1 visa students are not eligible for foundation scholarships during their first semester of enrollment; however, they may still submit a scholarship application, which will determine their eligibility for their second semester. Please refer to the Odessa College International Students webpage for additional information.
Dual Credit Students:
Dual credit students are not eligible to submit an AwardSpring application for foundation scholarships. Please refer to the Odessa College Dual Credit webpage for additional information.
Each scholarship is unique and may have specific eligibility requirements.
